The Russian side is expecting US President Donald Trump to pay a return visit. According to “Armenpress”, this was confirmed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with TASS.
“The president of our country said this, summing up the results of his participation in the Alaska summit. He made relevant statements. And I can also quote him. He publicly invited the US president to Russia,” the diplomat noted within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.
Answering a clarifying question about the possible dates of Trump’s visit, Zakharova explained that “this is the competence of the presidential administration.”
“As for all the other details, this is the problem of the administrations of both the presidents of our country and the US,” she added.
In August, at a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the results of the meeting in Anchorage, Donald Trump, in response to an invitation to visit Moscow, stated that he considered it possible.
