Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening video address on Tuesday again stated that Russia should agree to a complete ceasefire. Regarding the ceasefire announced by Putin on Russia’s Victory Day, Zelensky sarcastically said that the Russian leadership is right to be worried about its parade in Moscow.
“We are also preparing for a conversation with America regarding new sanctions steps – we are choosing precisely those pain points for Russia that will force Moscow to diplomacy the most,” Zelensky said.
“They must take clear steps to end the war, and we insist that an unconditional and complete ceasefire should be the first step,” the president continued. “Russia must do this. Now they are worried that their parade is in question. They are right to be worried. But they should be worried that this war is still going on.”
