Zelenskyy announces preparations for new US-Ukraine meeting

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during his Wednesday evening address that Ukraine and the United States were working on organizing a new meeting. The Ukrainian president expects positive results by next week, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“Today, our teams—Ukraine and the United States—started working on the meeting. Andriy Yermak and Michael Waltz spoke, and there has been a positive movement. We hope for the first results next week,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Ukraine is currently engaging in significant international efforts. Specifically, today, March 5, he spoke with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Portugal, and Slovenia, as well as with the German chancellor. Zelenskyy thanked the European leaders for their support.

He also mentioned that Ukraine is actively preparing for the upcoming EU summit, which will take place Thursday in Brussels.

“And we need to revive progress on the European front, particularly regarding our Eurointegration and the negotiation clusters for EU accession. We rely on the support of our partners,” Zelenskyy added.
