Volodymyr Zelenskyy is preventing the resumption of Russian oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline for political reasons, despite the lack of technical justification, stated Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
“Zelenskyy has decided for political reasons to continue blocking the resumption of oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline, despite the pipeline being technically fully capable of resuming supplies, and there are no technical or technological reasons that could prevent this,” Szijjártó said.
He added that Kyiv “continues to brazenly interfere in the Hungarian elections,” seeking to bring the pro-Ukrainian Tisza party to power.
The minister emphasized that the government will continue to guarantee Hungary’s energy security despite threats from Ukraine.
