A fire broke out at Yerevan Elementary School No. 131 named after Peyo Yavorov.
According to preliminary reports, the fire started on the fourth floor and was caused by electrical wires.
School Principal Naira Zakaryan reported that students were quickly evacuated. There were no injuries.
“The whole incident lasted five minutes; most likely, a short circuit in a circuit breaker started the fire. A teacher from a neighboring class quickly tried to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher,” the principal noted, adding that 911 was quickly called.
