We are now talking about assumptions. This was announced by RA Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan on October 21, referring to the EAEU report on Armenia. According to him, the report is inflated by 50%, and the Armenian side had already presented the rest of the figures. He informed that the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance formed a working group and conducted a study assessing the impact of Armenia's possible exit from the EAEU. Papoyan explained that in case of leaving the EAEU, the negative impact on the economy will not be large and is estimated at -0.61%. He assured that Armenia has always conscientiously fulfilled its obligations to the EAEU. "There are no obligations that we have not fulfilled. We consider this issue as an economic dispute, which also applies to economic restrictions. In this regard, we have appealed to the Eurasian Economic Commission, whose session will be held on November 3," the minister noted. As for the request to hold a referendum on EAEU or EU membership, he emphasized that Armenia has already expressed its clear position. Referring to the issue of the nuclear power plant, Papoyan assured that the authorities of Armenia are not pro-American or pro-Russian, but pro-Armenian. "We choose the option that is most beneficial to Armenia. We have no special attitude towards any country or people," added the minister.
