Chinese President Xi Jinping has timed his next visit to Moscow to coincide with the solemn events on May 9 in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said, RIA Novosti reports.
“And [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin will visit China in late August-early September in connection with the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II,” Lavrov added during a government meeting in the Russian State Duma.
