On January 23, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the press service of the Azerbaijani president reported.
The head of state expressed condolences to the Turkish President in connection with the tragedy that occurred in the hotel of the Kartalkaya ski resort in Bolu province, which killed many people, and wished recovery to the victims.
Aliyev also noted that on January 21, he sent a letter of condolences to the Turkish President over the tragedy.
The Turkish President expressed gratitude for the attention and condolences, noting that Turkey and Azerbaijan are always close to each other and will always be so.
During the telephone conversation, the heads of state exchanged views on various issues of bilateral relations.
