Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan posted a video on social media, showing his photo with Donald Trump and Ilham Aliyev. On the photo, the former U.S. president had written: “Nicole, you are great.” Pashinyan immediately thanked Trump for supposedly honoring him.
However, Nikol “forgot” one very important detail: Trump had also sent the same photo to Aliyev, writing: “Ilham, you are great leader.”
And here lies the real difference. Aliyev is presented by Trump as a “great leader,” while Pashinyan is simply “great.” But the word “great” can mean anything: a great sycophant, a great traitor, a great deceiver. One thing is clear — not a leader.
This reveals one truth: even on the international stage, Pashinyan is not taken seriously as a head of state. And how could he be, when he has openly proven that, for the sake of maintaining his power, he is ready to sacrifice the country and Artsakh, destroy statehood, and serve foreign interests?
Trump’s inscription “great leader” went to Aliyev. And Pashinyan got just the label of being “great something.” This speaks not only about Pashinyan’s real place and role in the eyes of the world, but also about the disgrace into which Armenia has fallen under his rule.
For Nikol this may be a source of pride, but for the Armenian people — it is an insult and a disgrace.
