“During my tenure, I did everything possible to make the service of colonels in the Ministry of Defense more favorable,” stated former RA Defense Minister David Tonoyan.
“I highly valued the service of colonels in the Armed Forces, even during wars and crises,” Tonoyan said.
According to the former minister, hindering or restricting the service of Armenian Apostolic Church clergy in the Armed Forces will not lead to any good goals.
“In a moral and psychological sense: more than 90 percent of our servicemen are followers of the Armenian Apostolic Church,” said David Tonoyan.
