“The initiation of the criminal prosecution of His Holiness the Patriarch and a group of bishops, as well as the ban imposed on them, is yet another anti-church, anti-national, and anti-state act, which, unfortunately, was an expected development in the context of the authorities’ increasingly escalating and schismatic strategy in domestic affairs,” wrote former Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan.
“My respect for the steadfast spiritual fathers, from whom I hope not to break, but to strengthen the Christian and national pillars of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church on the true Christian path of self-purification and service.
