US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Monday that the US is interested in ending the fighting in Ukraine, but does not want to impose anything on anyone, but is simply trying to help.
“The United States is interested in ending the war, and we want to do everything in our power to achieve that. We are the only country on earth that seems capable of bringing both sides to the negotiating table. We are not trying to force a deal on anyone. We are not trying to force anyone to make a deal that no one wants. We simply want to help them,” Rubio said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest.
