Armeconombank signed a 35 million USD syndicated loan agreement with the OPEC International Development Fund in order to expand access to financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The financing consists of an A-loan of USD 20 million from OPEC's own funds and a B-loan of USD 15 million provided by the Allianz Credit Emerging Markets Fund managed by Allianz Global Investors. In addition to supporting MSMEs, OPEC Fund's A-loan can also be used to finance climate-related projects. The signing of the syndicated loan agreement is of particular importance, as it coincides with two important events: the 50th anniversary of the OPEC Fund and the 35th anniversary of Armeconombank.
