What we claimed a long time ago is now an obvious fact. The Kocharians are no longer a political factor, neither in Russia nor in Armenia. And the clearest and undeniable proof of this is their own media field and the theses it spreads. Everyone knows that Politik.am belongs to Robert Kocharyan's political team and serves their interests exclusively. And here, when this website tries to convince the public that the Kocharians still have serious "connections" and "influence" in Moscow, it presents... MGIMO lecturer Victor Soghomonyan as the main support and political "factor". This is simply ridiculous. When the external "powerful leverage" of the former president's team is limited to a former press secretary lecturing at one of the Moscow universities, it shows that no one in the Russian political elite can count with them anymore. In Armenia, their only hope is to artificially blow bubbles of "influence" with their own media. When pro-Kocharian resources like Politik.am are forced to present the university professor as a "serious political factor" influencing the Russian elites, that says it all. It is the most telling evidence not of power or influence, but of political bankruptcy, isolation and complete lack of resources.
