Tehran is expecting Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit, Iran is preparing for his arrival, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told RIA Novosti.
“Putin’s trip to Tehran is currently being worked out, preparations are underway,” she said.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said following talks in Moscow in mid-April that Tehran hopes for Putin’s visit to Iran in 2025. In addition to meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the Iranian minister then held talks with the Russian president.
