US Chargé d'Affaires David Allen met with RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, Commander of the Kansas National Guard, Brigadier General Paul W. Schneider and Vayots Dzor Governor Vahagn Arsenyan participated in the opening ceremony of the new Yeghegnadzor fire station. The US Embassy in Armenia reports that within the framework of the humanitarian assistance program of the US European Command, the United States has invested 1.1 million dollars for the creation of a new structure to respond to emergency situations in Vayots Dzor. in order to strengthen military and civil defense capabilities. The state-of-the-art station will help first responders serve local communities more effectively and strengthen the region's ability to respond to emergencies. "We continue to work with Armenia in the direction of civil security, emergency preparedness and strengthening resilient communities. This is another example of the deepening ties and expanding cooperation between the United States and Armenia."
