The final gala-concert of the 7th international inclusive music art festival "Side by Side" was held in Liberty Square with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, under the auspices of RA Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan. The participants of the festival performed on one stage, side by side, with famous artists of the Armenian music industry: Armenian jazz legend Levon Malkhasyan, Liparit Avetisyan, Ruben Hakhverdyan, Varsenik Avanyan, With Gor Sujyan, Iveta Mukuchyan, Roberto Kel Torres, Hasmik Karapetyan, Arame, as well as A'Chila, "Nemra", "Gata Band", "Love Eli" musical groups. Throughout the gala concert, the audience, guests and passers-by joined the festival participants in song and dance, turning Freedom Square into a center of international art, warmth and inclusiveness. As part of the gala-concert, an exhibition-sale of paintings and handicrafts of children with developmental characteristics was also organized in the territory of Liberty Square. This year, children and youths with developmental disabilities from all regions of Armenia, as well as from abroad - from Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan and other countries - participated in the festival. The event was carried out by the educational and cultural non-governmental organization "Side by Side" under the patronage of Yerevan Municipality. The 7th International Inclusive Music Art Festival "Side by Side" was held on October 2-5 under the motto "Inclusive society, civilized country". The official opening ceremony of the festival took place at the House of Chamber Music, within the framework of which the concert titled "First Steps" was held. Musical performances were performed by students of music and art schools of Yerevan and RA marzes, regional pedagogical and psychological support centers, as well as participants from abroad. C. On the small stage of the National Academic Theater named after Sundukyan ("Black Box"), theatrical productions were presented with the participation of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. A master class-seminar was held online for specialists in the inclusive field with the participation of medical specialists with international qualifications from Russia and the United States of America. About 200 professionals, parents and guardians from various organizations participated in the master class aimed at the development and promotion of inclusiveness in Armenia, as well as the provision of continuous education in the field. Founded in 2019, the format and geography of the "Side by Side" festival has expanded over the years. From the republican status, the festival became international in the second year, hosting participants from France, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, Bahrain and other countries.
