Proceedings have been initiated in the case of apparent torture of a citizen by the police in Hrazdan. Narek Sargsyan, spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced this on his Facebook page. In particular, he noted: "Recently, one of the news websites referred to the case of apparent torture of a citizen by police officers in Hrazdan. "Immediately after the publication, an internal security and anti-corruption department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs appointed an official investigation, about which we informed the public. Later, criminal proceedings were also initiated in the Investigative Committee. The Republic of Armenia is a legal state, and the issue is resolved exclusively by legal procedures. Apparently, such episodes are exceptional in the police system, and every call receives a proper legal evaluation and process. In such cases, no manifestation can be ignored or remain inconsequential. The final grade will be given based on the results of the exams.
