On September 17 of this year, the president of the PSC Mesrop Mesropyan received the head of the Armenian mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Alexander Timan and the mission's energy sector experts. During the meeting, topical issues related to the development and regulation of the energy and water sectors of Armenia were discussed. In particular, the possibilities of development and application of electric energy storage plants were addressed, as well as their role in ensuring the flexibility and stability of the energy system. Issues related to electricity tariff policy and formation of tariffs were also discussed. Within the scope of issues related to the water sector, the tariffs for drinking and irrigation water, the peculiarities of their formation and regulation were addressed. The parties emphasized continuous cooperation and exchange of experience in the direction of development of the sector.
