Police in Kaunas have opened administrative proceedings after a biker protest near a mosque during the Muslim community's Friday prayers, LRT reported. Participants chanted "Lithuania", made noise and turned on Truth. According to the information of the portal "Kas khika Kaune", a pig's head was also brought to the mosque. The video posted on social networks shows how a group of bikers gathered around the mosque during prayer. The participants of the action chanted the word "Lithuania", made noise and played music. As written by "Kas khida Kaune", the bikers asked could not explain what message they wanted to convey with their action. What happened upset the representatives of the Muslim community. One of the interlocutors of the portal called the situation shocking, stressing that people come to the mosque to pray. There has never been a more serious clash between bikers and Muslims. Reinforced police units were on duty near the mosque in Ramibes Park. Kaunas Regional Police representative Odeta Vaitekiavičene told BNS that law enforcement agencies have started administrative proceedings regarding the gatherings and � with the possible violation of requirements for the organization of other events. Violators may face a fine of 30-150 euros. In addition, the police have begun to determine the circumstances of the incident in connection with the possible incitement of hatred against a group of people. At the same time, Vaitekyavichene emphasized that for now it is about clarifying the circumstances, not about starting a pre-trial investigation. According to the police, no incidents were recorded between the participants of the action and the believers of the mosque.
