The relatives of the missing servicemen submitted an application to the leadership of the National Assembly today, October 6. They demand to publicize the report of the investigative commission on the issue of the 44-day war, which was never published. Civil activist Mikayel Margaryan said in a conversation with journalists. "As we know, last year that marriage was made secret, now we demand from the new National Assembly to hold public hearings and make the report public. This is the mandatory requirement. The National Assembly of the previous convocation did not properly pay attention to that issue and personally the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, placed a ban on publicizing it, which he had no right to do. We have sent 5 letters. To the new chairman of the National Assembly, chairman of the newly created security commission Vilen Gabrielyan and the leaders of the factions. I think the new National Assembly will express an opinion on the attitude of the previous National Assembly on this issue and we hope it will make a decision to publicize the report and tell the people the truth. According to that, we will already understand why the previous National Assembly behaved this way, why everyone was promised that it would be public, but it is not public until today. Applying to the CP is a formality, the expectation is from the opposition, it is from common sense. Maybe, one day the government will say: well, maybe it was dangerous for re-election, and to some extent the truth can be revealed. In that case, we will know the truth about why the war started, why it went like that and why we still have the consequences of the war."
