In Azerbaijan, political scientist Bahruz Samedov, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason (correspondence with Armenians - ed.), tried to commit suicide during the break of the session of the Supreme Court, local mass media reported. Samedov's cassation appeal was being examined in the court. During the session, lawyer Zibeida Sadigova filed a complaint, demanding the cancellation of the accusation of state treason. The court did not satisfy the complaint. After that, Samedov submitted several petitions. The court did not satisfy those motions either. As a sign of protest, Samedov cut his right hand. An ambulance was called to the court.
