On September 18, the head of the RA NA "Civil Agreement" faction Arusyak Manavazyan and the secretary of the faction Volodya Hakobyan received Eva Sundqvist, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to RA, the King of the Netherlands. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Marike Harriet Monroy-Winter and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium Eric de Muynck. At the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the expanding RA-EU relations, the visa liberalization process between RA and the EU, and a number of issues related to cooperation in the trade, economic, political, defense and security spheres. "Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands are not just European countries for us, but they are a bright example of democracy, rule of law, and institutional culture, and with our program we will try to achieve these standards in state building. Democratic reforms are our political commitment and the main guarantees of the security of our statehood. And here we highly appreciate your support," said Arusyak Manavazyan in particular, addressing the ambassadors. The interlocutors emphasized the deepening and activation of inter-parliamentary relations. In that context, the role of parliamentary friendly groups was emphasized. The head of the group valued the presence of the EU observation mission in Armenia, as well as positively assessed the temporary elimination and reduction of customs duties on the import of some Armenian products by the European Union. At the request of the guests, relations with the parliamentary opposition forces and other issues were also addressed.
