The US State Department is temporarily reducing the number of employees of American embassies in a number of countries in the Middle East. This was reported by the Al-Monitor portal, referring to the sources of the State Department. According to the portal, reductions have already been made in Saudi Arabia, now the process has included embassies in Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. The decision is related to the escalation of the situation in the region by the Yemeni rebel movement "Ansar Allah" (Houthis). On October 10, the head of the US administration, Donald Trump, announced that in the near future he will make a decision on whether the US will join the positions of "Ansar Allah" in the strikes of Saudi Arabia.
