59 foreign citizens were arrested during regular inspection visits aimed at detecting illegal migrants in Georgia. In order to detect foreigners who are in the territory of Georgia without legal grounds, the employees of the Migration Department conducted inspections in various facilities and places. Among those arrested are citizens of Kenya, Turkey, Russia, India, Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Sudan, Cameroon, China and Azerbaijan. "In order to detect foreign citizens who are in Georgia without legal grounds, the employees of the Migration Department checked certain places and objects of various significance," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in the message. All the arrested were transferred to the temporary detention center of the Migration Department. The necessary procedures for further deportation from Georgia have been initiated against them.
