I don't like to constantly talk about the work being done towards the return of persons detained in Azerbaijan. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan at the session of the National Assembly on October 28, answering the question of Lilit Galstyan, a member of the opposition "Hayastan" faction. "Who needs your efforts if there is no result?" The result is quite concrete: whether the detained persons are released or not," said Mirzoyan, not hiding his indignation. According to him, a lot of work has been done after the release of the last group of prisoners. At the same time, he did not want to make some statements from the podium of the parliament, because for that he would have to mention the names of other countries and put them in an uncomfortable situation. "I will damage our relations with those countries... They say, go to a third country, for example, Madagascar. Supposedly, let the representative of Madagascar go and visit the Armenian prisoners. In other words, they thought about it, but we didn't? Don't we have connections? We applied, but there is no result," the minister said, addressing the opposition.
